Meet the Torrance Team Behind Fielding ADU Torrance
You’ll see the same faces from the first site walk to the final inspection. That’s deliberate. Our Torrance crew works as a single unit, not a rotating cast of subcontractors. Every person below is background-checked, uniformed, and local to the South Bay. They know which Torrance neighborhoods have expansive soil, which ones trigger Hillside Overlay review, and which lots off Crenshaw can actually fit a detached ADU without a variance fight. They’ve been building together long enough to finish each other’s sentences, and they’ve heard every ADU question a Torrance homeowner can ask.
Our People

Reed Calloway, Owner
Reed Calloway runs Fielding ADU Torrance and has been in residential construction since before the 2008 collapse taught half the industry what not to do. He started framing track homes in the Inland Empire, moved into remodels, and spent six years focused almost entirely on garage conversions and accessory units before ADUs became the statewide conversation they are now. Reed signs off on every written price before it reaches a client, and he personally walks each project at rough-in and again before drywall goes up. He’s the one who answers the phone at 11 p.m. if something’s on your mind. He’d rather catch a framing issue on a Tuesday than explain it on a Thursday. Outside work, he restores old motorcycles and has strong opinions about the best breakfast burrito on Artesia Boulevard.
Marco D., Senior Installer
Marco has more than 15 years in the trade, with the last eight focused on room additions and ADU framing. He’s our lead on foundation-to-framing sequencing on attached ADUs in Old Torrance, where property lines and existing structures leave almost no room for error. Marco holds current fall-protection certification and is our in-house specialist for steel moment frames on garage conversions, which most Torrance lots need when the slab isn’t up to current shear standards. He grew up in Harbor Gateway and rides a bicycle to jobsites within three miles, which is more than half of them. If Marco tells you something is off by an eighth of an inch, he’s already fixed it.
Dana K., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the phone and the person who keeps a Torrance homeowner from ever wondering what happens next. She’s been with the Garrison Partners network since 2019 and handles scheduling, permitting paperwork, and the written-price handoff before any work begins. Dana knows the City of Torrance building counter process well enough to tell you whether your project needs plan check at the counter or full submittal, and how long each typically runs right now, not what a website from 2022 says. She keeps a running log of every ADU permit we have in process across Torrance and Lomita so nothing sits waiting because we forgot to call. She’s also the reason your written guarantee gets emailed the same day you sign. Dana has a rescue greyhound named Cement, which tells you everything about her sense of humor.
Alex P., Apprentice
Alex joined us two years ago as a helper and is now in his second year of a state-approved carpentry apprenticeship. He works under Marco on framing and finish carpentry, and he runs material takeoffs on smaller jobs, which means learning the difference between what a plan says and what a Torrance lot actually allows. Alex is our guy for the Abodu, Cover, and Dvele prefab deliveries, helping coordinate crane placement and panel set on tight South Bay lots where the truck can’t always get where the drawings assumed. He’s methodical, checks twice, and still gets visibly annoyed when someone leaves a cord tangled. When he’s not on a site, he’s usually at El Camino College finishing his general ed between semesters.
One Standard, Every Job
The Garrison Standard has been the operating rule since 2006, and it applies to every person above, on every project, whether it’s a $40,000 garage conversion or a full detached ADU. We write the price before any work starts, put the one-year guarantee on paper, and answer the phone with a live person at noon or midnight. That standard doesn’t depend on which crew member you’re dealing with. It’s the default. Reed built the Torrance team around one rule: if you wouldn’t put your own name on the punch list, you don’t sign off on it.
The Garrison Code, in plain words
- Show up in the window. We arrive when we said we would, in uniform, background-checked.
- Price in writing. The number you approve on day one is the number on the final invoice.
- By the book. Permits pulled, inspections passed, no shortcuts hidden behind drywall.
- Leave it clean. Your garage, your yard, your driveway. We’re not done until it looks like we were never there, except for the new structure.
- Stand behind it for a year. If the work fails inside 365 days, we come back and make it right at no charge. Period.
Call (424) 358-3068 to schedule a free estimate and meet the crew in person. You’ll get a written price before anything starts, and you’ll know exactly who’s walking onto your property.
